Actually, If Jantz helps up to a couple of really good seasons, he will be a God here. Not saying it's gonna happen, just a what if... Clearly he is from out of state as he left our most game experienced QB out of the following sequence: "Without a clear-cut favorite to take over the reins of the Iowa State offense, as two more quarterbacks already on the roster — freshmen Jared Barnett and James Capello — also will compete for the job, Jantz said it is imperative for him to be on campus when the spring semester starts." -

He did talk about Tiller above, citing a CF poll.

Re: Jantz article
The article is clearly intended for Steele's hometown as the audience, not us.
Still a good read if you didn't know what led him to Iowa State.

Re: Jantz article
The author must have all of his research on CF. He even wrote "Chizek."
So far, in his second season in Ames, the Rhoads' era hasn't seen a lot of winning. After replacing Gene Chizek, who will lead Auburn against Oregon in the 2011 BCS Championship game, Rhoads has posted a 12-13 record with the Cyclones. But 2010 did show some promise, despite a 5-7 record.
Also, apparently 7-5 with a bowl win in 2009 doesn't count as winning, but 5-7 in 2010 counts as promise.

Re: Jantz article
Yeah, not the best piece of writing, but still holds it purpose. Nothing really new, consider CF seem to be the source, but still nice to see others take notice and here from one of our own for once.
Actually that's brings up an interesting thought, articles from more of a fans perspective...
