Can't say I am surprised. The staff had basically stopped contacting him a few months ago. I think they knew he would stay close to home to play his ball after TT started pressing him. Mutcherson, Rufus, and Handley showed up on our recruiting radar this week, so that led me in this direction as well.

No official visits listed seems like a red flag in regards to qualifying.

Not so sure about the qualifying thing. In terms of TTU, they are not an academic powerhouse. As Mizzou iterated when they were flirting with the Big10(12), they are a pretty poor academic institution.

I hate the fact that Tuberville is at TTU. You can tell he has respect for his former Def Coordinator as he basically lets Rhoads take a first pass at his defensive recruiting in Texas, and then swopes in to make the steal. He tried it with Sam Richardson too(he stayed with the good guys, thank god). And Hubert last year went the same way as Gaines.
