Lonnie Gosha to visit this month
DT from FL is supposed to visit this month according to Jamie Newberg of ESPN, some tough competition for this kid! Lonnie Gosha - Yahoo! Sports JNewbergESPN Jamie Newberg
Lake Butler (Fla.) Union County DE Lonnie Gosha will visit Iowa State and Miami this month. He's already tripped to Arkansas. Also Miami offered Kaleb Johnson yesterday so I doubt we're going to get him now. http://jacksonville.com/opinion/blog...-kaleb-johnson

“One day we’ll be in here celebrating a Big 12 championship,” Rhoads said. “That I can promise you.” -

Re: Lonnie Gosha to visit this month
He goes to high school with another recruit WR Bryan Holmes. There was a story on Rivals that Holmes wanted to schedule a visit. I wonder if Gosha is just going along with Holmes, or maybe he's bringing Holmes with him. Or, maybe he's just going alone. Both would be great gets.

Re: Lonnie Gosha to visit this month
If Rhoads can pull this one off he really is a magician. As is we have not shown the ability to attract any type of DL recruit. Last year we had a local kid from Ankeny and Nick Kron, a grayshirt. All the 3 star talent has decided to wait for better offers, and they will probably get them. I predict the only DL recruit we will snatch is a HS kid with no other offers, who will need to gain about 40 pounds to be effective. We are in way to late on these guys, and each has amassed offers from better, more local football programs.
And don't give me the naysayer talk. These kids are pipedreams at this point. I would love for ISU to get them, but I don't see it happening. Louvan Green is the only DT I am holding out hope for.

Umm, if the kid is willing to visit campus in January...we've got a shot. It's no pipe dream. We may not land him..but we've got to be pumped that we are attracting these type of guys this late in the process.
How can you not be excited about how this recruiting class is shaping up? Still plenty of work ahead but man, very excited about what CPR is doing the last few weeks.

Thinking Jadaveon Clowney is coming here is a pipe dream...thinking that a kid who is using 1 of 5 official visits to come to Ames is far from a pipe dream.

How do you know we weren't in on them from the beginning? Have you not read the thousands of rivals is not always accurate threads?

Guys this guy is a four star with BCS offers. Rhoads is officially a magician. I dont care if he pulls this off or not he is still a magician. Recruiting at ISU cant be easy.
