    9/10/11?

    Do you guys think CPR next big win can come next year vs. Iowa? I guess my thoughts are it will be our best chance in awhile and for a couple years to come. They lose Sash, Greenwood, and their 3 best DLs. Sash going to the NFL could be the best news with him taking over the game the last couple of years. I also believe all around we will be a better team in 2011.

    Very true and they have another on the way. I dont blame them for getting rid of Robinson and company. If we cant win, maybe we can put up some points against the starting D and not the Iowa City High D. But based off of prior history, CPR is going to give us one shocking win this year and a win vs. Iowa would stop the bashing for one year.

    I've been saying it all along ISU WILL win vs Iowa. In my mind there's no excuse to losing. We have our best shot coming up in recent years and I'll be very disappointed if we can't pull it off.

    I'm not expecting a win, but it will tell us a lot about our new QB(whoever it might be). I'm sure the QB will probably look pretty good against UNI, and I bet our fans will be pretty pumped going into the Iowa game. If we win the QB will be considered very good/better than AA.

    I really hope a W against Iowa wouldn't make everyone think that the QB would be way better than AA. AA was always a conference play QB anyway. The fan in him was what got him in the Cy-Hawk series.

    That is what I hate about CPR IF this is true. I LOVE the game against Iowa and if you can't get up for this one then which one can you get up for. I would really love to see the kind of emphasis Mac put on this game from CPR.

    I don't buy this. CPR has only had two showings so far. I am willing to give him one more year at the least to show his enthusiasm for this game. In the big picture, conference play is more important, but many ISU fans will have this game marked down as #1 atop the wishlist for 2011 wins. I think CPR will have the time fired up and ready to go, and give 100% effort a la the Nebraska/Texas games earlier this year. We will have a chance.

    Given the choice, I would rather Paul Rhoads gear up for conference play instead of stressing out over beating Iowa. Ideally we can win in both settings, but conference wins have WAY more to offer in benefits. Especially since there's this prevalent idea that rivalry games are always a toss-up, regardless of talent levels on either side.

    That said, there's two more Iowa games in my time at Iowa State, and I'd like to see us win at least one of them.

    I bet he cares about winning every game equally, conference wins only matter when you are competing for the conference title......in ISU's case they are trying to get to 6 wins and qualify for bowl games.

    I love our chances this year for a big W over the KF Cartel. Sash leaving was a good thing but I do agree that we gotta stop their RB. Also, I think their backup QB was better than Stanzi but the Ohio State game might have been a fluke. But, in the end, we need to man up and put a beat down on the Hawks.

    Also, until he says he doesn't, I think Rhoads gets going for the game just as much if not more than others. I wish I could be there but I'm sure he motivates the hell out of the team in practice and in the locker room before the game.

    I don't think we have the talent coming back that Iowa does, but in this series anything is possible.
