    Jerome Tiller

In Austen Arnaud's chat, He seems pretty certain Jerome is our QB next year.

    so my question is:

What is wrong with Austen? Is he such good friends with Tiller that he would blatantly ignore Steele "the second coming of ******" Jantz as the frontrunner? Or is he really that crazy?

    Re: Jerome Tiller

lol, I think Tiller will ultimately win the job as well. But thats not to say Jantz doesn't play quite a bit as well. I think the Tiller hate as of late is pretty unwarrented. give him the wr's that can get open and catch the ball, and you will see a whole new player. Not to mention the man takes care of the ball for the most part. I am obviously pulling for whoever wins out, but imo, Tiller takes the reins. But then again, it's all about the work ethic in the offseason and spring camp. Can't wait to see how it all goes.

    Re: Jerome Tiller

I think AA knows as much about Jantz as we do. Tiller is his buddy and has been his backup for three years so he probably is pulling for the guy a bit. I think its safe to say that it is Tillers job to lose.

Although the coaches going out and picking up a Juco late certainly tells us something.

I don't care who wins out but whoever it is means that they beat out some competition and it isn't because they were the backup the previous year or they were a hyped up newcomer.

I personally think it's the least controversial answer to a hot-button question. He's probably buddies with Tiller, and nobody will take offense if you predict him to start next year. I don't see it happening, though, but that's just my opinion.

    Re: Jerome Tiller

Tiller is the man to beat with his experience in our offense. Jantz may do that, and even if he doesn't, it's nice to have options.

    Re: Jerome Tiller

Tiller has the game experience, so all else being equal, the job is his until someone else proves theyre more worthy. The chance to do that will come soon enough.

Well, I"m sure that when they line up on the first day of spring practice, Tiller will take the first snap. Beyond that, who knows.

Tiller will be the #1 when spring starts. Who's #1 when spring ends is another story.

    Re: Jerome Tiller

If Tiller is #1 great. If he isn't 1 or 2 (unlikely) the coaches should try him at WR. Look what KU did with that on guy, Meier(wrong spelling right?)

    This is correct.

AA is right when he says that Tiller will be the guy. Tiller will be the guy... going into spring. After that, nobody knows. Not even Paul Rhoads... or AA for that matter.

There will have been an entire offseason for all the QB's to work on their games. Who knows will show up this spring and take the job?

The only thing we do know... it should be one heck of a competition.

I was expecting him to tell us that Capello is the most underrated QB to ever grace this side of the Mississippi.
He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man.

    Re: Jerome Tiller

Tiller already lost the job, thus a JUCO quarterback. AA is being a nice guy..
