I hope someone informs Josh that an outstanding GPA at ISU + a stellar MCAT score + being a former D1 athlete = PICK YOUR MED SCHOOL.

Kind of the point of Twitter is following people.... I mainly follow our players, tech news people, a few celebrities, and friends. It's nice to know what recruits are saying also.

If they have a public account i like to see their thoughts on visits though ( I wont friend request a person.) It's seems to be better than the standard interview you get on the recruiting sites. Grady did mention he thought it was colder at Wake than it was for his visit to Ames. He came up on a cold weekend.

I have no problem with people using it and following celebrities and friends, but when you friend (actually thinking about it, facebook is the more pathetic of the two when it comes to people you don't even know) a high school kid that is an athlete that you will likely never meet, or even attend the school you want him too, that is a form of stalking. You are essentially trying to peep into someones life and get to know them. Twitter it is just status updates on facebook. The difference is facebook can tap into everything in someones life. Celebrities have twitter so they can interact with fans. IMO, unless you are a celebrity, you are a creep for friending people you don't know.

Re: Joshua Grady on Twitter
I don't do it, but I don't see a problem with following anyone on twitter. Now adding random people on facebook is a little creepy.

Re: Joshua Grady on Twitter
FYI, you don't "friend" people on Twitter.
If those who are so afraid of it would learn something about it, they may not fear it.

Re: Joshua Grady on Twitter
So is the basis of this Twitter/Facebook debate that anonymous message board posters that cast judgments on others that they don't know are far superior people then the Twitter/Facebook users that follow people that they don't know?
There seems to be some irony in that argument.
