Who knows if he makes it or not, but it seems like he is trying and AA has said that there is a chance. Which is a lot different than your talk of him not coming back for sure.

Yep, all we know right now is that, per AA, he is TRYING to make it back. And AA is the most credible source we have so far.
That doesn't mean he will make it back, but it also doesn't guarantee he wont.

Re: Scott Haughton?
Just my opinion, but I don't think Austen would even bring it up if there was not a pretty good chance. Austen is a smart guy and knows who is audience is. Now ultimately it is still up to Scott to get the job done and if CPR welcomes him back, but why would Austen mention the topic if there is no way Scott would be coming back?

Re: Scott Haughton?
If he could make it back he would be a bigger addition than any OL recruit out there. He could make a huge difference.

It's just too many times, I have seen talent not come back to ISU. Whether it was sign and place guys or guys that just never made it. Besides, it would ruin my pessimistic outlook of the offense "Not at the table Carlos." -

Besides, it would ruin my pessimistic outlook of the offense Well your biggest complaint about the offense is the WR's and their inability to catch the ball. We all know Haughton can catch the ball!!!

Re: Scott Haughton?
We can assume this:
1. He left because of grades and study habits
2. He wants to come back and play
3. We want him back
It's up to him to do the work and get enough credits to qualify. He really has few good other options.

Re: Scott Haughton?
Wasn't he kicked off the team? So what are the chances Rhoads doesn't want him back?

Re: Scott Haughton?
This would be HUGE news if it happened.
I'm not holding my breath however.

Re: Scott Haughton?
I will say just a couple things here.
1. I don't think he will be back. Just my gut feeling.
2. If he does come back, you could have perhaps the best one side of a line in the Big 12 and one of the best in the nation and if Farniok or Tautola fill in well as I think they will, you could have one of the best units in the conference. Haughton will play in the NFL if he get's back and I don't really think it's even a question. The kid is good. Better than KO.
3. Had we had Haughton last year, our offense would have been quit a bit better due to being able to run the ball more effectively more consistently. I said it before the season. Losing Haughton was as big of a loss the offense could have taken. The drop off from him to the next guy was going to be huge.

Or so I have read. -

Re: Scott Haughton?
What's the line? "So, you're tellin' me there's a chance!" "Hey! I'm building something here!"
