I have said that I think that Scott Haughton is the most athletic offensive lineman I've seen in a Cyclone uniform since Keith Sims.
Keith's trademark note of athleticism around campus was that, at 6'2" 305, he could do a reverse dunk from a standing start--as much a part of ISU legend as Matt Blair putting a quarter on top of a backboard. Keith played left tackle at ISU, was taken in the NFL draft in the second round, and racked up a few Pro Bowls blocking for Dan Marino at left guard.
I'll say this while Haughton is still in limbo...if he can get his academics together, I think that he could eventually be better than Keith Sims proved to be.
I was acquainted with Keith when he was on campus. He was as nice a guy as he was smart (Engineering/Industrial Tech major, I believe) and a good athlete.
I did run across this article about him, which has probably been posted here before.
EX-DOLPHIN KEITH SIMS SCORES BIG WITH FRANCHISE « : EveryJoe - Sports and Entertainment News
It included this line, which I thought was excellent:
This week Sims and his business partners, brothers Ken and Clint Privett, completed the purchase of two existing Plantation stores, bringing their roster to 17 and making them among the largest Dunkin’ Donuts franchisees in Florida. (At 340 pounds, about 25 pounds heavier than he was as a three-time Pro Bowl player, we’d bet Sims IS the largest DD franchisee in Florida).
