    If I Matt Tau'fo'ou here is my explanation

    Coach,

    Last night on the Discovery channel they had a show called "How beer saved the world" and I watched it.

    Did you know that early Egyptian beer had tetracycline in it and kept them healthy - and that Egyptians used to drink like fish? Or that Europeans drank beer once they were weened off the teet until death? Or the ultra religious pilgrims lived on acorn beer and required beer to make the voyage to America?

    There were so many positive inventions credited to beer and even Benjamin Franklin said that beer was proof that God loved us! I got so inspired I had a few beers.

    I guess I got over inspired coach - but you have to watch the show to know how powerful the message was!

    How could you kick a guy off the team for such a patriotic gesture?

    Apple pie and hot dogs.....and beer. What is more American than that?

    First it was Let me mayor coach and now it's If I Matt Ta'foo'ou. One could argue that us Cyclones are not educated well enough.

    Excellent choice if you must come off the teet (or teat). I'll give Europeans a little more credit from now on.
