Walk on invites?

Throughout the years, the cyclones have had success with walk on players, anyone
got any information about who might be walking on with this class? Is this the time
of year, that they invite walkons?

Willie Baughman (6-3, 185 WR from Iowa Western Community College) will walk on.

Wow, what's not to like about Medders. Good size, good hands, good blocker, and a good student. Along with Baughman those are a couple of good size receivers to throw into the mix. I'm liking this class even more with those walk-ons, now let's add a few more. Peters and Boesen would be nice additions, and a bigger lb prospect than Peters would be Rob Myers from Ankeny, and I'm wondering if he's a walk-on prospect.

Just was wondering, how many preferred walk-ons does ISU usually take each year and do many eventually get scholarships as they get older? Then are there any notable walk-ons this year from Iowa high schools you could highlight?

Nick Beckman from Iowa City High will be walking on Fall of 2011. Offensive lineman for the Little Hawks who were 4A state champions in 2009 and runners up in 2010.
