Maybe you make changes that put an end to any additional needed changes on the north end for a very long time. More of an overall closed-in feel with a real tunnel look. Something that drives more people into real seats where they belong??

So you are saying there will be no more north endzone seating next year?

Force these people to sit in the bowled in south endzone in a couple years. -
Re: Scoreboard price went up...
The Gazette's website does not even have a Cyclone section unless you click on it. Their front sports page has 3 sections 1. Sports Desk- which is a daily video section (poors mans ESPN) 2. Squawks (aka- Courts and Crime) 3. Prep sports

What I AM worried about is that they design it right. The Jacobson Building looks tiny in that endzone. Obviously, they're not planning on doing anything with that building because they can't expand it. This scoreboard structure is something that could make the overall endzone more imposing. But with the shape of the building, it gets a little tricky to not make the thing look gaudy or cheap. I think that the Mississippi State scoreboard looks tacky. What I would do is avoid the steel girder look and go with stone pillars to match Hilton and the IPF. Make sure that they span the current sidewalks. I would actually take the columns halfway up the hill, making a faux tunnel for the team to walk out of. That would also help with support for high winds. Concrete pillars part way up and steel girder on top would match the IPF nicely and go with the look of the Jacobsen building. Too bad the roof of the jacobsen Building didn't have a simialr concept as the IPF. That roof just really messes with continuity in design.

Maybe we will have to get a plasma instead of an LED, since they are cheaper.
