Depth is good, but we need players better than what we had if we want to move up. I am not seeing that according to this chart. About the recievers, they seem to be having improvement and I think the young bloods will get their chances out on the field. The coaches also said that Darius Reynolds is looking like he did in 2009. Our running back situation doesn't look at all like last years. The O-Line will be young which could be a struggle (notice I say could). And we won't know about QB until kickoff comes in Sept.

Not saying the kid can't be a player just saying one practice video doesn't mean much

I think with KO, Hicks, and Burris you have a solid group. I was hoping to see George supplant Taufou in the MLB battle. He was highly regared coming in( enough to not RS), and I was not impressed with our MLB play when Matt was healthy last year. That position improved a lot when Klein was there, we just had a glaring hole at the SAM. I don't like that a highly regarded athlete like Mattison is immediately passed on the depth chart by a kid who has been on campus for 3 months. I also am a little scared to see hyped receivers unable to break a single one into the lineup. I like Lenz, and if Reynolds is back to full speed, he should be great as well. Darks was the one I thought would be in a battle. I like what he has given us for the last few years, but he is not a game changer. I was hoping one of those would work its way into the lineup.

I hope DD is working very hard on catching the ball everytime because if he does, he will be a solid reciever. There seems to be a lot of hype in the game changing ability in Jarvis and hopefully not Reynolds from the coaches and players so I'm hoping that isn't just hype.

The player who I am impressed with is Tuftee on this list. He was a forgotten man by most posters here, but he took that ISU offer seriously, and is beating out a JUCO guard in Caspers that everyone thought would start last year. Tuftee is surprising. Came back from blowing out his knee, came from nowhere, and isn't the slender OL that we are supposedly looking for. Good for him.

Ha, I had no idea that Tyler Leo walked on and redshirted last year. That kid was a stud RB at Ankeny. I wonder if we'll see him in special teams.

We hear hype evey year in regards to receiver. Every year. I will not believe the hype until someone proves it on the field and we haven't had a receiver live up to the hype since...well...ummm...well...never.

Neither had hype but both were great. Everyone here is just getting out of the Sedrick Johnson era. That guy ruined me on supposed 4 star players.

Not sure he was hyped but once he was hyped, he kinda underperformed.

I just hope we can get some big plays out of the WR position. I don't care who it is.

Re: UPDATED Depth Chart
Anyone else surprised to see Lattimer on the depth chart?

Re: UPDATED Depth Chart
Why is no one talking about the best news? Lattimer back at number 1!
Also isn't it good news our newest guy, Jevohn Miller, is already better than Mattison. You're always supposed to recruit over your current guys.
