I think it should be titled the "State of Iowa Corn" whatever. Labeling it the "Iowa Corn" whatever seems to imply affiliation and prejudice to EIU. Notice they didn't call it the "Iowa State Corn" trophy.

No suprise here, the ICGA has already become a more prominent sponsor than Hy-Vee at the games over the last few years.

I was thinking the same thing. The current FB trophy is very lame. There needs to be some sort of corn icon on the trophy. Why can't we be clever and call the annual football game the "Corn Bowl." The national media pundits would love it.

Notice it is being sponsored by the "Iowa Corn Growers Association," not the "Iowa State Corn Growers Association."

You guys do realize that this is for the Cy-Hawk series not the football game? The ugly trophy you are all talking about I assume is the Cy-Hawk trophy?

They are one in the same as far as most people are concerned.

Not arguing that point. But the trophies are different. So if you want to get rid of the abysmal football trophy petitioning the sponsor of the series isn't going to do squat.

Hey they actually put up a picture of the Cy-Hawk Series trophy. I think this is honestly the first time I have ever seen it!
