I agree the this is a great read, even though there is not a lot of "new" information for anyone who follows ISU closely.

“It’s beyond pride. It’s a restored trust. There’s a confidence again, a passion that teeters on swagger. More than anything, (Iowa State head coach Paul Rhoads) has restored the Iowa State “it” factor, the steadfast belief that it is great to be a Cyclone...the man’s enthusiasm is genuine to the core...” – columnist Sean Keeler, Des Moines Register -

" Iowa State will likely always be picked to finish near the basement of the conference. But sleep on Rhoads at your own peril, "
Damn straight.

Definitely looking forward to seeing Shontrelle make defenders look foolish. We saw it last year against KU, and I think it's a sign of a really special back.

Wow. That's a fantastic article from Brian Smith. For a national/regional (non-local) writer, he definitely went the extra mile on his Iowa State football research. Very professional. He sounds like an up-and-coming writer in the Big 12 region... Brian Smith is a writer for FOXSportsSouthwest.com covering the Big 12 and TCU athletics. Brian interned for FOX in 2008 while attending Texas Christian University. He previously served as a digital content assistant for FOXSportsSouthwest.com. Brian worked for the TCU Daily Skiff for three years and was an award-winning sports reporter. He also worked for the university TV station, reporting on sports for TCU News Now.
Here's a link to his page, with a box where you can send him an email: Fox Sports Southwest
