I do like it when he said, "If someone isn't playing well, we can go to our bullpin." Tells me he wont be afraid to pull someone if they are sucking it up.
I like that he said the competition is even at this point (although we need to take Tiller's elbow injury into account here). I posted a few days ago that Jantz has the most room for improvement due to the other players already having experience with the system. If everyone is even at this point, then Jantz may well pass them all once he has had the summer to internalize the system.
Unfortunately, I think he may go to that "bullpen" more often than he'd like based on what we are hearing thus giving the impression of a platoon.
Hopefully that's not the case.
This is good to hear. QB's should gel with their Center, Receivers, and even Running Backs, and doing that is twice as hard for the whole offense when rotating two QB's. Last year, A-Rob made a comment about how taking a hand-off is even different because of the different arm lengths.
He won't platoon, but I could see whoever is #2 getting a few series a game. Give him the first series of the second quarter and then see how the 4th quarter looks when you get there.
