First opponent UNI...experienced team

Re: First opponent UNI...experienced team
UNI sucks. We better steam roll them by at least 3-4 TDs.

You are correct. We should **** pound them!
Re: First opponent UNI...experienced team
Don't count this as a sure win...we don't have a starting QB yet, and they are all back. These can be tough games, especially in instate rival.
Re: First opponent UNI...experienced team
UNI will be too busy watching our beautiful new scoreboard to really pay attention to the game. Cyclones win big.

Didn't have a starting quarterback for the game last year.
Re: First opponent UNI...experienced team
Granted they were having a terrible game last season, but if we don't beat them as bad or worse then there could be some issues the rest of the way through the season.
Re: First opponent UNI...experienced team
The moment we don't count UNI as a "sure win" is the moment we don't deserve to be in the Big 12.

Is it too early to start a look a like thread?:jimlad:

Agreed. If UNI isn't a sure win, then we don't have any.

No offense but if we dont count this as a ''sure win'' we are in some deep **** come the start of the big 12 season or for every game for that matter.
No offense to UNI, they have a good coach and are a pretty good team year in and year out but if we are moving in the direction as a program that everyone here hopes that we are we cannot stumble against a school like UNI.
After the spring game I feel much better about where our offense is. Experience and a nasty streak on the OL, a plethora (sp?) of RB's, I think Horne makes an immediate impact at WR and hopefully the other three with experience step up as well. QB is a question but if Tiller was good enough to win last year, should he be "the guy" he should be good enough to win this year.
If the Offense performs anywhere near where they should it should be a comfortable win, UNI's experience aside our D will own them.
Re: First opponent UNI...experienced team
In this game my biggest hope, is that we see the most dominant line play in years on both sides of the ball. I want to see our Oline look like a group of bulldozers pushing their DL back 5 yards at a time. I want to see our DL pave a road to the QB for sacks and TFL.
Anything short of that will be a disappointment for me.
ISU 35-UNI 7
Re: First opponent UNI...experienced team
As I stated in another thread. I think the improvement in the trenches on both sides of the ball over the past 2 seasons has been steady.
Time will tell, but I fully expect ISU to dominate the trenches regardless of how many returner starters UNI has.
Re: First opponent UNI...experienced team
I bet CPR has the boys ready to roll. ISU will be ready to hit someone not wearing the same jersey color.
Re: First opponent UNI...experienced team
I sure wish Latt was going to play. They gotta keep out of trouble this summer or we're going to have half a team to roll out. Probably no Latt, no Taufoou, no Ricky Howard and we're not even into May yet.
