Who will be missed more this season: ARob or Arnaud?

I have the day off and with this weather I have been watching every game from last season. Even though Arnaud has been one of my favorite players of all time, he severely lacked accuracy. Watching some of these games, a lot of points were left off the board. I think the loss of ARob will be big, I worry about the inexperience at the RB position, although SJ did have some quiet but good games, specifically against Texas. After watching the spring game, I will say there will be no drop off at QB and I actually look for a more accurate passing game and more speed at that position, but the RB position does worry me. What does everyone else think?

I'm going to go Arnaud, but I think there's a reasonable chance that we don't miss either.

Biggest reason I'm taking Arnaud is that even though Robinson was a better player, I have a lot more faith in what the guys who played behind him have shown us. I feel like I've seen more out of Johnson/Woody/White than I have out of Tiller/Jantz.

Neither? Sure we don't have the "experience" but we have players who are more talented stepping up. If Tiller is the starter then yeah we will miss Arnaud. If Jantz doesn't get a better grasp of the offense by the start of the season we will miss him.. but if Jantz can get a lot more down this summer its game over.

Im going with neither. SJ will do just as well as A-Rob and Im sure we will find a QB that is able to be just as productive this fall as Arnaud was.

Re: Who will be missed more this season: ARob or Arnaud?

I think it's definitely Arnaud. ARob is great, and was a great player for ISU; but as others have mentioned there's a lot of talent at the RB spot that saw playing time last season.

I'm more worried about the QB spot, because that's the lynchpin of the offense. If Tiller, Jantz, Capello or Barnett can't lock up the QB spot this season, ISU is going to struggle; especially with the younger players on the offensive line.

Also, Arnaud LOVES Iowa State. Natural leader, knows what it takes to win at ISU and did everything he could to help the team. Not saying the the current QB prospects don't feel the same way, but I think its hard for a team to lose a senior leader like that.

    Arnaud.

Nothing against A-Rob, but we've got three or four very capable replacements. We have no idea who our QB will be next year and it doesn't look like anyone is really stepping up.

Maybe Arnaud will be missed as a person. But he wasn't anything great on the field. Shouldn't be too hard to get equal or better production from that position.

I'd have to vote for AA. Even though we all wanted him to be better it was very clear (at least to the sane people on this forum) that he was the best we had at QB.

Let's hope the competition this summer leads to someone to not fill his shoes but go above and beyond AA.

Arnaud due to his overall leadership. ARob is a tough guy to replace, but we have proven talent there. If not for that, it would be a toss up.

AA due to the position he played. Nothing against Arob, he was great but RB is just a spot where you're going to get some kind of production regardless of who is there. So many other factors make a RB sucessful that if some of those are clicking a RB will be productive. I think we'll miss AA toughness and leadership, especially in short yardage situations.

I hate to agree with this as much as I like Arnaud, but watching these games again, I never realized just how inaccurate Arnaud was, there are some throws where Franklin is laying out for a 5 yard out. Williams will be missed, Lenz will be very good and so will Money. Add in Horne and West and this group is pretty solid.
