Just to be clear, do you mean that they should use the death penalty on a big-name school, or should everybody look over their shoulders in case it's them?

Yeah, I have no doubt the NCAA will make an example out of a smaller school for the crimes of OSU football.

Well, I was thinking they announce that they are going to use it on a "major" BCS football school and wait about a month before announcing that it is Auburn or tOSU. That should give everyone here adequate time to speculate on it. I just hope they wait until June or so to make the first announcement, so that I will have something to do during the summer other than research.

So you weren't warning us or SMU, then?

SMU could be not only the only recipient of the death penalty, but the only two-time loser.

Especially fun as the only school to be punished for some other school's cheating.

I did hear that there were some men with NCAA nametags hanging around having secret meetings at NDSU over the past couple months.

I think they'll end up with a USC similar penalty. The death penalty should be used for schools that get in trouble and still thumb their noses at the NCAA. That being said, the NCAA should really do more than the USC penalty. I don't know if they have the right, but perhaps some sort of TV ban along with a post season ban.
