He was not a good fit for Herman's system and his issues with the mid/dep middle throw kill him. He threw more INTs across the middle than any thing.
He made some Iowa players into pros.

Which draft choices is he as good as? I'm a Cyclone homer and can't find one draft choice, or even some undrafted QBs, that he is better than.

You are seriously comparing Arnaud to Freeman, one of the top QBs in his recruiting class?

Agree totally. AA is a great person and a great Cyclone, but he is not an NFL caliber QB. He has a good shot at succeeding at the next level as a coach, but not as a player.

Re: Can Arnaud play QB in the NFL?

I like Arnaud A LOT. Great kid, busted his a** for the hometown school. It was gut-wrenching to watch him be forced out of the game against Nebraska. I wanted to see him get that signature win so badly (the Texas win will suffice, but Texas was way down, it would have been better to beat Nebraska, IMO).

That said, he is not an NFL quarterback. If he ever signed with someone, that team would get a guy that would do whatever he could to improve. The ability simply isn't there, and I hate to say that.

This. Everything I saw from him on the field, plus his strong performance at the Combine, had me thinking 5th round STEAL. Really surprised he didn't get drafted. Oh well, I guess some team is going to get a BIG return on a very small investment when they sign him via free agency.

Honestly, I would like to know what it was that left him out. I mean, he wasn't even mentioned. Good production on a poor offensive team, great testing and he isn't even getting looked at? His production should have gotten him to the combine at least. Just don't get it. I get all the rest though.

    Or so I have read.

Oh that's right, I forgot he didn't even get an invite to the Combine. He had a great performance at his pro day.

    No, he is not.
