If anyone has a chance to get drafted it would be Franklin, personally I think Sims is too short to play in the nfl.

The safety and TE class this year didn't help Simms and Franklin. Barely any from those 2 positions were drafted with the 1st 2 rounds. Has really slid the whole class down pretty far.
My Jets could use a safety, and they have two picks in the 7th round. Still crossing my fingers they take Sims.
Still no good guys taken and we're a couple picks into the 7th round. Franklin isnt even on Kiper's list of TE still available at this point. He has TEs from UNI and EIU on there. Sims is the 6th S remaining on the list. I know his list means nothing, and it means even less than nothing this late but Im just sayin.
This is ******* me off. Some damn good Cyclones are going to get screwed.
Sims is the only one who had a legitimate shot of getting drafted and he was projected as a 6-7 round guy. He will be the only one to get drafted if their is anyone. No Cyclone is getting screwed. Robinson isn't good enough for the pros, Franklin only produced 1 year, and Lamaak has pretty much reached his peak.
Franklin and Sims are the only ones with a chance, and Franklin could go someplace like Chicago.
Franklin will catch on somewhere. Even if he isn't drafted he will get a contract. He is a big target who knows who to go up and get it.
Tough to get great recruits when we don't have anybody get drafted. :(
The main problem with Franklin were his numbers. Yes, they were good for all intents and purposes. But, the passing game was so erratic as a whole and his numbers reflected that fact. A TE being the QB's #1 target in a spread offense is not good. That means a lot of check downs and short stuff. An NFL caliber TE has to own and command the ball in the middle of the field and be able to put LB's at a disadvantage. Colin wasn't a threat at doing that because we were trying to block 7 with 5 a lot if times. The LB's and safeties were blitzing and Franklin was covered by DE's and DT's on zone drops. The blitzes caused protection problems and therefore a bunch of check downs and short stuff to Franklin. It's unfortunate for him that our passing game was ineffective. If you look at the guys like DJ Williams, Kyle Rudolph, Lance Kendricks are big and fast that can control the blitz because they command attention in the middle of the field. A DC does not want D-lineman covering these guys. It will be a long night for the defense. I'm not going to say Franklin couldn't do that....he just didn't do it. Like I said, the passing game was so erratic it's costing him right now not getting drafted. There's more to getting drafted than just having a great combine or pro day. Some guys don't even go through all of the combine workouts but they still get drafted.
Those that say Sims is too small, I disagree. The Pats took Malcolm Williams (5-10 204). Sims is just a little under that. I believe his numbers were not that great and the off the field stuff (as small as it was) hurt him. Look at Ryan Mallett. Great numbers, played in the SEC, BCS bowl games, 6'7" frame, very strong arm and great physical tools, goes 74th (3rd round). If the off the field issues hurt him, I'm sure they hurt Sims.
Don't worry guys next year we'll have a potential first round pick, and some mid rounders.
