KO has the physical tools to be a dominant guard or tackle in the NFL for many years. I mentioned this to Hawk fans and all they do is bring up Reilly Reiff. KO will eat Iowa's DL for dinner this September.
"Osemele could be an All-American in 2011." This would be nice.
We definitely aren't going to starting winning consistantly until we get 4-6 guys picked every year. I hope he isn't the only one who gets drafted next year.

With his stock being so high it will bring the scouts out and give them a chance to see others...
It would be really nice if this was able to unfold this way. It is interesting that they list him as a guard. I think unless he ups his play and ability to deal with stunts he will struggle at the next level as a tackle. If ISU had the luxury of moving him inside to a guard spot he could be a truly dominate road grader and solid interior protector who could be drafted nearly this high and start from day one.
In my opinion if he doesn't get the opportunity to move inside in the NFL and he doesn't improve on the outside against stunts, he may struggle to keep a starting job his entire NFL career.
Work hard this summer, KO! We are pulling for you!
"There are five real good recruits in the state. We got three of them. One couldn’t get into school, and the other went to (the University of) Iowa...which is about the same thing." - Coach Johnny Orr
IMO- He didn't last year. Couldn't handle a stunt to save his life. Wasn't good against the speed rush. And had far too many penalties in the red zone or as drives went longer.
There is no doubit in mind that his future in the NFL is at guard and I wish we would have moved him inside. But the staff is probably looking to put the five best OL on the field.

He's the best tackle we have. He has to play there, IMO. I agree with you though, he has everything he needs to be a dominant guard at the next level.
People have been mocking tackles to the Chiefs the last two years and it hasn't happened, so maybe next year is the year. Although, I really don't think Osemele is their type it would be awesome to have a Cyclone on the team.
Interesting I guess. Unfortunately it was done before this years draft so it doesn't take into account who the teams drafted this year.
Hopefully someone has seriouds need for an OG at the end of the first or beginning of the 2nd round at the latest. I would love for my Steelers to grab him but they took a RT/OG prospect in the second round this year. They might still need one next year depending on performance and possible free agents.
