the "we're gonna beat the **** out of you, you, you you you!" I know it's on YouTube somewhere
Sadly.. first road win I'd seen in 13 road games or so, over 4 seasons (though, it was also the first road win in as many seasons) :arghh:
My record has improved since then (Thank you CPR)
But I do like your attitude
I like when the kids give the players high fives. That's pretty cool.
I also like how we storm the field after every win :jimlad:
Biggest football tradition we had back in the day was...
Crutchfield up the middle...
I think a frat has been bringing in a cannon to the football games and shooting it off after every td. That's been going for sometime.
Just looked at the "Traditions" at cyclones.com. They say the victory bell was moved to CWF in the early 20th century. I recall ringing it in the late 50s and it was in a cupiloe-like structure behind Beardshear. I think it was moved when they tore down all the old "temporary" classroom buildings back there around 70.
Entering the stadium midway through the first quarter. Exiting the stadium midway through the second quarter. Re-entering the stadium midway through the third quarter, if re-entering at all.
Then going on message boards and ******** about lousy fans.
Read up on Jack Trice if you haven't yet. We have the only stadium named after an African American and it is truly a great story.
Learn why we have a Cardinal as a mascot. You will be asked again and again and again. It isa actually a pretty cool story and makes sense once you know it.
Jingle your keys at kickoffs.
Getting the ball pulled away and getting kicked in the junk seem to be ISU traditions. I don't know of a generation that hasn't experienced both.
Thats another Cyclone first down
horn guy, despite security's best efforts he lives on
