Just looking through my tweets, Josh Newberg tweeted that ISU was one of 10-11 teams that Florida would release him to. That list could get bigger. I have no idea what that means but some others were the smaller FL schools and Clemson. I have to wonder why ISU would be on that list. I don't know how that list gets populated.

It should also be noted that he was high school teammates with Quenton Bundrage and Quinton Pompey.

Pick some tiny, local schools you don't play, along with a couple of ok bigger schools you don't play but don't think anyone would want to go to(us). then toss in a bone (clemson) to show you aren't being really mean to the kid

I thought I read yesterday he was released to anywhere except FSU, Miami, and any SEC school...

Or, the fact that we signed 2 of his high school teammates already and they are probably friends, and that is probably the real reason. ISU fans that belittle ISU need to grow a pair.

I would think he'd still have to sit a year regardless. The release just prevents him from going anywhere else in the SEC.

He would redshirt this year and then he wants to play immediately in a spread system.
