You have to watch. 47 yard average on 12 returns and 5 touchdowns and the teams were trying not to kick to him. I have not seen anyone run away for that big a margin in the 100 m before in a state finals. This kid is fast.Quote:

That really is amazing...just stunning, to be honest. Reminds of J.J Moses with the quickness...but he's clearly get even better straight ahead speed. Looks like nice instincts as well...gonna be fun to watch him the next four years.
He's not as fast but he could be a Trinden Holliday type player for us. He just kind of looks like that to me.
That clip of Lampkin running the dash reminds me of another Omaha product. I watched (from the stands) Gale Sayers and one of his brothers run the 60 yard high hurdles indoors at the Boys Town Fieldhouse. Gale and his brother finished more than a hurdle and a half ahead of everybody else in the field ---- in only 60 yards. A few years later, when Gale made a visit to Clyde Williams field representing Kansas, I was told by a couple of our players that taking Sayers down was easy; just get a hand on him and he would go down. The following Monday, after Sayers had gone off on us, I was told the problem was getting a hand on him. Hopefully Lampkin can be the reincarnation of Sayers.
I liked the interviews with the guy from the other teams, pretty funny how impressed they were with his pure speed, don't see that a lot for HS guys.
