we need to go to a bowl game all three of the next 3 years. i think over half of all d1 teams do. we need to be in that half.

Do you think CPR is shooting for 1 out of the next 3? We need to set our sights a little higher because I'm sure the coaches and players do.

Are we serious? A bowl game 2 out of ever 5 years is the expectation? I think CPR should be answering questions if that's the case.

I expect to get to a bowl within the next two years if not next year. I know we have a tough schedule but at some point you have to start winning games you arent supposed to and transition to the role of the favorite.

Hell, we were 1 play away from going to a bowl game again last year.
Lower level bowl games should be the norm (norm = every year) and sneaking into mid-upper level bowl games every few years (few years = 3-4 and mid-upper level bowl = Alamo or better).
That is where our program needs to be, at least for the time being.

Actually, since that seems to be the fans' expectation, I think Rhoads would need to ASK some questions.

For example:

"You ******* serious, Clark?"

No way is 2/5 what Rhoads is shooting for.

I hate to be the the one with the defeatist attitude in the thread, but if you W and L the 9 conference games we now will play every year and add in the Hawk game, where are the wins coming from to get to an upper tier bowl? I get the attitude that we need to be upsetting some of these teams, and actually we have been, but it would take 2 or 3 major upsets every season as things stand now to get to a major bowl game.

Yep, and once you start winning those "major upsets" on a regular basis then they start to become "competitive games." It's called making improvement.
