I concur that DD is a great place for the game, have loved my seats there for the last two years. Also the obnoxious fan is generally my drunken alter ego "Victory Helmet Man", I make no apologies...

If you are sitting on the dumper when we score a TD, that's a bad seat.

Sometimes, I have a bad seat. If "the Football Professor" is in his seat, mine is a bad seat.

Re: Is there a bad seat at Jack Trice?
IMO there are no bad seats in the Upper Deck. In the lower deck corners its really hard to see what's going on if you're in the first 10-15 rows.

Re: Is there a bad seat at Jack Trice?
Not a bad *reserved* seat in the entire stadium imo.
Hillside is not so great, but they're really cheap often times. I also sat at "field level" when we lost to UNI. It was a bad place to watch a game. we only stood by our seats when we had too because the goal post and the cameras and other junk was in the way.
-by the way, UNI had some hella big dudes that year. Seeing those D-linemen play was by far the best part of the game. They were like watching a big herd of cattle. It was the year before we got the new grass and they would line up on their own one yard line and just dig their cleats down into the ground for traction. That tore the **** out of the field lol

That tore the **** out of the field lol I sat "field level" for the 2008 season opener against South Dakota State. Those seats will be much better now with the scoreboard (regardless of size) being on the north end, rather than having to turn around every time you wanted to see a replay on the scoreboard in the south end.

Yea good point. But we could hardly tell what was going on sometimes with all the stuff in the way and the inability to perceive depth from the endzone angle

Re: Is there a bad seat at Jack Trice?
Anything close to the field in the lower level sucks. Everything upper deck is good. Upper deck on the 50 in the first few rows is utopia.

Re: Is there a bad seat at Jack Trice?
Hillside because people ***** at you if you stand up.

Re: Is there a bad seat at Jack Trice?
I would sit in the first row of the upper deck between the 30s before any other place in the stadium. Second pick would be highest row of the lower deck.
For the OP, depending on taste there really isn't a bad 'seat' but as others have said hillside isn't great if watching the game is top priority. Re: Is there a bad seat at Jack Trice?
anywhere in the upper deck is great. ive sat about 6 rows from the top, about 20 yard line and they were actually great seats

If we somehow came into a ******** of money, lowering the field might not be a bad idea.
Other than those first few rows, the hillsides and far lower deck corners suck.. other than that there really arent many bad seats. I know that endzone seats arent for me (due to the lack of a good view when play is at the other end of the field) but i also know there are those that love those seats.

Re: Is there a bad seat at Jack Trice?
There is always a dilemma for me whether I should try to get as close to the front of the student section as possible or go immediately for the upper deck on the side closest to the 50. It is a lot less intense in the upper deck but you can actually see the game really well. In the lower student section you can't see much but those students actually get into the game unlike a lot of the upper deckers.
