No one here is saying Jantz is the man, but you clearly have a Barnett bias.

Your fixation on Barnett far exceeds any other poster's boner for a specific QB.

Really? You honestly think there is a order right now? And CPR is just waiting to name Jantz in order for him to have more time to learn the offense and overtake Tiller? Those two got pushed to the limit and in several occasions were outplayed by a RSFr whom most seem to think can't play right now. I can't get excited about either one of the juniors right mow. I'm a true ISU fan. I could care less about how sweet a guy's name sounds or what he looks like. I want playmakers and WINS. We say we want accuracy, playmaking ability, etc. We are getting that from a guy but it's not good enough for you for whatever reason. I'm not calling for JB. He may not be ready. CPR will make that call. I'm just in his corner because he is showing that he has IT.

I apologize if I hurt someone's feelings on here. But, I'm sure that plenty posters including you have said if someone other than Steele is our QB, the season will spell disaster. I don't have a Barnett boner. No bias at all. I've said many times that he may not be ready. May the best guy lead us! I just repeat the facts that come from the staff via media reports and interviews instead of always giving my opinion. My opinion means nothing. I want to know what the staff thinks. I just assumed the fans would want the same. If not....I'll just keep the facts to myself.

IMO, you And a few others must have a FBT boner because you always respond to my posts. Thanks for the support!

Oh really? Since the Spring Game?

I was pretty impressed with Tiller at the spring, and saw some good things out of Barnett. I'm hardly a "Jantz or bust" guy. I was pretty down on Tiller prior to the Spring Game, but he showed some major progression.

Interesting that you got all that from the only line I've posted about QBs thus far.

I'm just waiting to see who the coaches put out and how they look. That said, it seems pretty clear that Jantz and Tiller are in the lead right now. That would put anyone else in 3rd or 4th, since those two would be 1st and 2nd.

Sometimes it's easy to be too personally attached to your own pet idea. In this case, you clearly are, which led you to reading a whole lot more into my post than was actually there.

How about no QB for the season? We'll just run the "WildClone" every play.

i dont really care who the starter is. i trust the coaches to put the best player in there. i want to see jantz, but if tiller looks like the better option then i will support him... from what i have seen of tiller up to this point,i really hope he gets better this year. i think it's great having 4 QBs wanting playing time. they are gonna push each other to work their hardest.

I think our season will be a disaster with Tiller at the QB. I think Jantz gives us the best chance THIS year. Barnett could get it and do OK but then be better the next year than what Jantz could be this year. If that makes sense. IMO.

IF Barnett wins the job, we have a four-year potential starter. That would be a good thing.

I used to think Tiller would be a disaster too. He really looked improved in the Spring Game. I know it doesn't mean much, but honestly, whichever one of these guys it is, I think I'll be ok with it, so long as they clearly established that they were the #1 guy.

    I see it this way:

Tiller: most experienced. Appears to have improved his game. Worried about his intangibles. Great chemistry w/Reynolds.

Jantz: showed incredible athleticism/play making ability. Unsure of whether or not he can grasp the offense and run it the way it needs to be.

Barnett: Young, but talented. Serious wheels, solid accuracy, not quite there in terms of arm strength. Seems like he will be the starter in 2013 at the least.
