would jantz redshirt if tillers wins starting job?

and stays injury free for the season. somehow i don't see this happening, but it would kind of make sense is tiller wins out.

I can't see it. Maybe if they think Barnett is dead even with him after training camp, but even then that would be a really slim chance.

I believe he redshirted his first season at Hawaii before playing JC Ball for 2 years, so I don't think he has that option.

My guess is a position change for Jantz if Tiller wins. He's athletic enough to play somewhere else.

He can't redshirt and he won't switch positions. Tough to switch positions when you have 2 years to play and we won't know the starter til right before the season starts.

if he isn't good enough to beat out tiller, then I doubt they would want him to redshirt when you have 2 qbs of the future in the wings

No. He would continue to push Tiller during the season and give us a second option if we need it. BUT, he will be the starter, so the question should be reversed.

I think Tiller already red-shirted a season.

so the loser of the QB battle is just going to have to get used to sitting on the bench.

He won't RS, if Tiller wins the job he'll have a short leash. I think whichever guys wins won't win the job by a landslide so there will always be the possibility of getting benched for the other guy if they struggle. Plus the first time we lose or the first INT that Tiller throws this place would be dead if we couldn't have the "bench Tiller for Jantz" threads.

There's no way he will redshirt. I can already see it happening from posters this year. Once Tiller messes up one game, ppl will be calling for Jantz. Once Jantz messes up it will be Barnett. I'm not looking forward to seeing everyone say "we would've won if this qb started and so on.
