He was the 11th overall pick in 2000. Somebody thought he'd succeed.
7 seasons, 28 career touchdowns, 38 yds/gm.

Re: Will Troy Davis make this list?
It depends on how expectations factor in. A guy like Rick Mirer was a stud at Notre Dame, left school as one of their most prolific passers, was called the next Joe Montana, was drafted high and then fell flat.
He was expected to do well, but he didn't.
Eric Crouch put up monster numbers at Nebraska, and was one of the best players in the country, but was only a 3rd round pick, projected as a safety, and fell flat.
The NFL didn't expect much from him, and that's exactly what they got.
Is Crouch as big of a fizzle as Mirer? It all depends on how you factor in their expectations.

Ya I couldnt remember his numbers and based it off the fact he was a big doosh I guess. I was surprised to see he had that many yards. Million dollar arm, 10 cent brain.
Re: Will Troy Davis make this list?
the rams drafted eric crouch, lawrence phillips and adam carriker.
Yeah i'd be okay with never drafting anymore corn ****ers
Re: Will Troy Davis make this list?
Steve Etman (sp?) from Washington & the Boz are my 1-2 NFL fizzlers of all time.

Tony Mandarich from Michigan State.

In 1994, Salaam rushed for 2,055 yards. At the time it made him just the fourth player in FBS history to break the 2,000-yard barrier. The previous three (Marcus Allen, Mike Rozier and Barry Sanders) all won the Heisman Trophy, and Salaam did the same.
this is what still pisses me off the most. these guys only had 1 season of 2000+ yds and Davis had 2 and got screwed both years in the heisman voting. i didnt read the 2nd page but one guy that should be on the list is danny wuerffel
of course the part about wuerffel has to be at the top of the 2nd page

How many Badger fans does it take to screw in a light bulb?
2 one to screw in the bulb and another to tell you how great Ron Dayne was.

Ya its a crock but ISU sucked big time, if I was a voter I would vote for him easily because of what he did with less was amazing.

The Heisman is now a team award....Had ISU gone 7-5 or 8-4 in one of those years....Then a Heisman would be in Ames....but they were sub-par seasons....
