I laugh when people get all excited about speed and athletic ability. Route running and good hands are every bit as important. There have been some great, great receivers that haven't been the fastest on the field but they run great routes and get open. Once open, they actually catch the ball.
I am not saying speed isn't important but route running is a forgotten skill by fans. Brandon Lloyd led the NFL in receiving yards last year and ran a 4.61. Roddy White ran a 4.47 and was 2nd etc...
