***Big 12 Media Day Thread, Day 1***

Post any and all thoughts on the Big 12 football media days here. Iowa State will take the stand tomorrow but I know that Coach Rhoads and the guys will be here tonight.

It's the talk of the town today. Beebe is hosting a dinner tonight here at the hotel that media was invited to. Personally, I doubt that he even addresses it. But nonetheless, it is the juicy story so of course, peeps are going to talk.

Andrew Logue (Des Moines Register) Dave Zawilinski (ABC 5) and me are the only local media members in town. Thin pickens in this economy.

No, I don't think so. I think that everybody is just looking for some clarity from the conference.

Actually, everyone is looking from clarity from the NCAA on the issue of conference/school networks televising HS games. This issue will affect the LHN, BTN and the new P12 Network.

The issue of the LHN televising a conference game will be handled by the conference, ESPN and Fox. ESPN tried to pull a fast one by obtaining a conference game from Fox but didn't follow protocol in doing so according to Orangebloods.

Given the Registers' issues, Logue probably had to hitchhike from DSM to DFW.
