I voted Big East. Even so I have a different take on this topic. I think the "Forgotten Five" should stay together and use the penalty money to form the Big 16. ISU; KU; KSU; MU; BU; BYU; TCU; Pitt; maybe Ark.; if they're listening, ND; AFA; Boise St; Houston; USF; Cinci; and Louisville could form an excellent conference. I picked 16 teams as the only scenario that puts ISU in limbo is the formation of the dreaded super conferences.
I said the Mountain West, but I would love to see ISU end up in a better situation than that (In fact, I'd love it if they were in the Big Ten). Quite a few good programs could be on the outside looking in if the dominoes started falling, and could make a pretty solid conference themselves.
