Re: New Commit
I like what I saw too. He had some decent hard hits, and he's a junior who should only get bigger and stronger with some bigger hits this year.

Can't wait to see him take down the Big East -
Re: New Commit
Lots of recruiting experts on this board, as usual. Let's see, who am I going to trust, a bunch of wannabe football analysts, or the coaching staff? Tough call...

It's like getting on a plane and being that guy who is like "I hope our plane doesn't crash and plummet into the ocean". It probably won't happen, and if it does there isn't anything you can do about it, so don't be such a worrier. I'll pick this as a more legitimate concern than a de-commit.

Re: New Commit
Good video on the kid... I wonder how many times he bites on play action. That can be fixed so I'm not worried about it.
Outside of that, appears to have good instincts and likes to hit... can't replace those things. Looks like a Knott/Klein clone. That's great news!

Re: New Commit
Looks like we will have Jake Knotts replacement after he graduates.

Re: New Commit
I have a hard believing he's 6'1" from comparing video, unless his team is full of 6'3" or taller kids. I'm guess around 5'9" or 5'10".
What he does bring to table is hard or impossible to teach. He has it. Good find. Welcome!

What he does bring to table is hard or impossible to teach. He has it. Good find. Welcome! I agree. I was guessing 5'10. If he's 6'1, he has offers from pretty much everywhere. I do love seeing LBs hit guys, wrap up and take them down. For so long, ISU had LBs that would always get pushed back or dragged for 3 yards.

Re: New Commit
He definitely showed he wasn't afraid to unload on anyone. He fought off blocks too, and stayed in the play. Pretty agressive in filling the hole and findiing the ball. His lineman did a nice job if they blitz that offen. I thought same about play action, but we aren't gonna see that on his highlight reel. I love the 2 time state wrestler accolade as well, you see him wrap up and drag a couple rb's down.

Re: New Commit
He looks like a beast and kinda fits the mold I would love our LBs to be. hard nosed and a motor that is always going 100%

Re: New Commit
Never quite sure of what to make of these listed heights and weights. Adam Pavlenko is listed at 6' 200 lbs. Somehow I would doubt that a person that wrestles in the 215 lb weight division (in Arizona and nationally) would only weigh 200 lbs.

Re: New Commit
Just watched his video and came away impressed. The kid can certainly shoot a gap and tackle. Has some swagger out there, you can tell he plays with intensity. Also, doesn't wear gloves which means he is a badass.
