We wouldn't of gone after Jantz if he didn't have a good chance to start. Heck even Seneca wasn't the clear favorite to start until after game 1 of his career.

I hope the players are warming up to Jantz. I had heard this was not the case a couple of months ago.

I hope Tiller does not become a distraction if he gets beat out.

Shontrelle will be taking direct snaps. Mark it down.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style.

I hope they start whoever is going to be the starter for the year. Don't you think it would be a good idea to have the starter get game experience for the first game? I mean the next game is against Iowa....

here is something to think about. why would cpr list 3 qb's as all #1's going into camp? i bet the coaches have talked to jt and mentioned playing wr at some point. having a little taller wr and the possibility of a the double pass as a weapon would be pretty neat. just a thought of mine. but i still think jt takes the 1st snap.

Re: Rhoads was just on AM1600 in CR...

IMO, we went after Jantz because we lost our starting QB from last year and Tiller is still a question mark as a starter. Jantz was figured to compete for the job. He may or may not win it. It sounds like there are 3 QB's competing for the starting job in a dead heat.

IMO, I would say unless there is a definite separation in performance by one of the QB's that Tiller will most likely start against UNI. For one thing, Tiller has started in the Big XII and the others haven't. And to start one of the others if it is a dead heat would just put even more pressure on them. Better to start Tiller and see how he performs and then work in Jantz or Barnett, whichever has impressed more in pre-season.

Jantz is going to be the guy and Tiller will move to WR much like our Austin Flynn at ISU and Meyer from KU, two good athletes that turned into great WRs. This should be Tiller's calling to get on the field.

You can't start Tiller against UNI and then Jantz against Iowa. You have to build experience before playing a major game.

I love to hear this. It's good to hear that one guy stands out above the rest. If Barnett, Tiller, and Jantz are really on the same level after fall practice, I don't think we're going to win too much.

Heh, starting lineup is a wildcat formation. I like it. That way, we don't have to name a starting quarterback. Keep them asking that same question all season long.

Jantz has had all summer to study the play book; 7 on 7's to work with the receivers. He should be able to show what he can do this fall, and hopefully its awesome.

otherwise i hope tiller has really improved his game especially his short timing routes.

I'd be open to the idea of starting Tiller for UNI just to throw Norm Parker off. Make Iowa prepare for the two of them. Iowa plays a pretty generic defense but it might make a difference. Keep the ball on the ground for UNI and come out Air Raid style against Iowa...

Silly question but does Steele have a redshirt year or was that used at Hawaii?

They'll both start, at wide reciever, opening the door for Beuker.
