Don't see any white helmets in there

The team does not have white helmets. The team will not be getting white helmets.

Sooooo....for all the folks saying white helmets will be a game day surprise like the gold unis last year...not possible...helmets have to be broken in. At a minimum, the players would know ahead of time.

No, it wasn't. I strongly believe it was, as others have said, the equipment guys spitballing something in their spare time. Unless we can figure out a way to have all of them share 1 helmet, it's nothing more.

the white ones would look pretty cool compared to the red ones. I always like the old ones from the seneca days, even thought the dark blue was not a cyclone color it looked good and stood out as very original compared to the current helmet and uniform.

It's the same thing everyone else here does, but they have the resources to do it with tangible items instead of online or in a game.

I'm still of the belief the white helmets would look awful under our current scheme. Just like they did when they were first presented to us. Our uniforms have no white on them and would look terrible at home. They don't look bad with the away jerseys, because the white shirts compliments the helmet. Without any white on the unis, the helmets just look out of place.

This isn't to say the helmet as a helmet looks bad. That's not the case, they just don't go with our home unis at all. Which, besides the obvious, is another reason I don't think we'll see them.

I don't see the appeal of white alternate helmets, mainly because white helmets lead to white pants, or possibly cardinal pants, and either way I see the gold completely lost in the equation.

I don't think ISU's recent look has had enough time to gain familiarity to start using drastic mix-and-match looks. Eventually, I could see 2 alternate combos w/ a white helmet that I could tolerate.

Kind of on the fence about the whole white helmet idea now. I thought the scheme looked great, but sooo much white for it not being one of our true colors. I don't have photoshop or any program like it, but I would like to see if someone could take the photo of the white helmet (the one causing all the hubub) and tweak it so the helmet was cardinal and change the stripes so the middle stripe was white. Add to this adding a white stripe between our current gold stripes on our home jerseys just to see what it looks like. That would be the only thing I would do. Our uni's look great, but I think adding stripes to the helmets would help out, IMHO.

Need clarification -- you want a white helmet or cardinal helmet base color?
