Re: Joined/Donated to the Cyclone Gridiron Club!!!!!
Joined earlier this summer. Seriously, if you're a current ISU student, it's only $25 to join. I had been looking forward to the closed, private practice, but my cousin is getting married the same day in Minnesota, and I'm an usher in the wedding. -

It's open bar for the first hour of the reception. I'm going to make sure to drink $175 worth of booze in an hour to offset the costs.

Re: Joined/Donated to the Cyclone Gridiron Club!!!!!
I posed this question to all Fanatics a couple of weeks ago. I received absolutely no response. There is a total disconnect. No one is interested in the Gridiron Club--Everyone is interested in being a Fanatic................. THis is a question to all ISU Gridiron Club Members and fans who may have ever considered being a member...... How can the relationship between the Club and CycloneFanatic.com be enhanced to help bolster ISU Football?
CycloneFanatic.com says, "they are dedicated to being the #1 website in the world devoted to Iowa State athletics." Accordingly, ".....the site averages 100,000 unique visitors and 7.9 million page views a month." (WOW?!)
If Chris via his good looks and debonaire convinced 10% of these "visitors" to pony up and give the minimum of $100 annually to be Club members, that would be a millions bucks/year. What impact could such an organization have?
Maybe this has all been "run up the flag pole" before.......Any ideas?

I think it's probably an NCAA violation for someone who reports on recruits and talks to recruits of School A to also be a booster for School A, which this site would be if it became actively involved in membership drives, and other activities associated with booster events. In fact, I'm not so sure some violations haven't already occurred, considering CW was emcee for the coaches cookoff and is actively trying to boost membership to the gridiron club. I vaguely recall something similar happening years ago with a Rivals site, where there was a big stink over the site being a booster.

Why would you post something like this considering the amount of time you spend on this FREE board? Between dumb posts like this and the new score board is too small, I think we have a bunch of doom and gloom pansy's around here that are too vocal.
