wonder if it has anything to do with Pompey's surgery?
regardless, I hope he has success
Coaches made this call back in Spring practice. I ran into one of the ISU coaches in a restaurant in the Twin Cities (he was on a recruiting trip). During our conversation I asked him what they learned from Spring practice. He shared this was the best o-line they had since this staff came. He said the d-line was better but not as far along. He mentioned this switch with the player to Dline. Said his high school coach said he made a mistake only playing him one way. Said he would be a great o-lineman, but had the kind of athleticism needed on the D-line and depth was needed there. Said he agreed as long as he got to use an additioal schollie this year on another olineman.

I'm excited about the future depth that CPR is building on both lines. If Omoile redshirts this year, we'll have the potential for a couple of darn good redshirt freshmen DTs next year in he and Pompey.

Darn good might be pushing it considering he has zero D-line experience. He'll be a project. He has the frame, but it will come down to his responsiveness to coaching.
