Vegas win total

I saw on soundoff last night that the over/under for ISU wins this season was 3. I typically don't like to make preseason predictions like this because there are so many variables that can dictate how a season goes. ISU's unknown sitaution at quarterback even further complicates the matter. However, at first thought this number seemed low to me. I know, I know, the schedule is very difficult once again and it is a challenge finding "sure wins". Anyhow, I just don't find it very likely this team can't find a way to cover and get at least three. What are everyone's thoughts on this number?

And what is the best way to throw a bit of cash down on this bet? I have never bet on sports but this almost seems like easy money to me. ISU would have to end with only TWO WINS for me to not at least push. I kind of like my odds taking the over on this.

I remember thinking the same about 2008 (the O/U that year was 3 as well), and we went 2-10 that year. Granted, I'd say it is a fact that our coaching staff is much better now than it was then.

If we can get decent QB play, I feel pretty confident that we'll be better than 3-9. But for what is known so far about our QBs, average play is certainly not a given.

When you find out how to bet on this let me know that this is the equivalent to an ace in the hole!!! I will just in and accept that bet!!!

If I found myself in the misfortune of being in Vegas right now, I'd put $100 on this in a heartbeat. Not a shoe-in but a solid way to enjoy what could be a long season.

I would not touch this O/U with a 10 foot pole. ISU could win 1 game or 7.

I would bet my net worth on over if it wouldn't double my student loan debt :twitcy:

You're looking at it the wrong way....it COULD reduce your student loan debt by half.

i would usually say just do it online, but not today... the govt is closing these sites faster then i would have imagined now. that means they would have no interest in paying you back if you win. going to have to get the bet placed in vegas, sucks i know. ive been gambling online for about a decade and now i cant... sucks!

Im making a $500 bet on the over and $500 bet on the money line ISU over Iowa...
only futures i will make.
Also taking ISU if the UNI spread is under 16pts.

FYI -

This is a good sports gambling website. And, it's European, so our government can't shut it down on a whim. (I think.)

It has some over/unders for NCAA team wins, but Iowa State didn't make the cut, I guess.
