Time for another reality check for everyone throwing out the $5 million number for the Iowa State/Texas game this year. Please go back and read the initial post once more, specifically the bold portion.

The $5 million was payment for not just this years game, but also at least 2 additional games over the next 4 seasons. Obviously that means that ISU would not be getting $5 million for this years' game alone... Sorry to burst the bubbles...

And ISU's game by itself would be worth a lot less to texas than the TTU-UT game anyways since the TTU game will draw a large texas audience and have more ability to put pressure on texas cable providers to add the network. Playing us does nothing to help the LHN get additional coverage.
