ISU Accepted to the Big East last year?
Per a Brett McMurphy tweet: @McMurphyCBS Brett McMurphy
If Big12 split last year, sources told me Big East Prez's had approved inviting KU, KSU, ISU & MU as full members Interesting to say the least...
Maybe that will help put this MWC or MAC bullcrap to rest.

That basketball would be drooltastic. Too bad the football leaves something to be desired.

Re: ISU Accepted to the Big East last year?
This has been known for over year yet some idiots refused to believe it.

Re: ISU Accepted to the Big East last year?
I still hope that the Big 12 stays together and we just add some teams.

Hawk fans, still refuse to believe this!

Re: ISU Accepted to the Big East last year?
If the A&M rumors are true and they go to the SEC, and the Big 12 falls apart, the Big East can't take all four of the aforementioned schools now since they already have TCU.
Who gets left out if they are still interested in Big 12 schools? KU is definitely in because of their basketball prowess, and Missouri most likely because of their markets. Leaves it between us and KSU (unless the Big East wants more than 12 football members).

Depends if KU and K State are tied together. If one can go without the other, ISU would obviously be more logical because that adds a larger population base.
All speculation of course, I'm still not believing that A&M actually leaves or will be allowed to leave.

Not since they added TCU. Remember?
On the surface it would look like it would come down to KSU and ISU as to who would be left out.

Re: ISU Accepted to the Big East last year?
If the Big East were to take Kansas and Mizzou, ISU would be their next best choice. We would bring Iowa's tv market, KSU can't bring Kansas' tv market twice.

Re: ISU Accepted to the Big East last year?
No way is Baylor and ISU left out, Big East would go to 14 teams, in the end the basketball only schools will be gone.

This is a bit of a moot point, because if A&M leaves for the SEC, that puts them at 13 teams, and the race for conferences to add 16 members is on. Mizzou would likely go to the SEC as well, and the Big 10 & Pac 12 would poach some of the remaining Big XII & Big East members. Big XII & Big East would likely join together to form new league/new look Big XII.
This is complete speculation though. I really doubt A&M is going anywhere. They're just trying to stir the pot & keep Texas in check.
