I watched the show yesterday and it was so-so. Maybe it was because they didn't include the FOXy commentator on campus this year. KO was interesting - I didn't know he was from Nigeria. They showed some game clips of Tiller from last year and he seemed pretty average. Coach said this will be his best team - but hardest schedule. He also commented on how crucial the dline was. I am not sure about that area now since we've had a recent surgery and an NQ. I plan on seeing every game this year. I hope we can pull off some upsets.
You mean Kansas and UNI, right? We have been embarrassed by Iowa the past 2 years.
No, he as correct about us beating Iowa! Whats the BIG difference between this years chances & the previous 2? Austin "I throw INT's to Iowa" Arnaud this year @ QB for the Clones!
ISU can beat Iowa. They just haven't shown up physically and mentally the last few years. (DLine got smashed last year physically. Offense couldn't do anything mentally.) Our DLine improved throughout the year though. This year I expect the game to be a lot closer.
We should beat Iowa this year. I firmly believe we have a better team than they do. I think Vandenberg will struggle early and their defense lost a lot of key players. They are also one deep at RB. Coker is very good but he won't be nearly as effective if he has to carry the football 30 times like I feel he will have to for them to have success offensively. They don't have DJK anymore. McNutt is good but he probably isn't going to kill us. On the other side of the ball, outside of safety I don't know where we got weaker at. QB can't get less effective. I think our RBs are just as good if not better than last year. Our receivers will be better. I just think that is a game we should win.
They are all possible upsets except for UNI and Iowa games. We expect to win those.
If you are not calling Iowa an upset win, then you certainly have to have Kansas as a "non-upset", considering they are the one team that is picked below us in most preseason magazines.
I, for one, refuse to call the Iowa game a non-upset. We may win, but it will still be an upset. I don't see how we have gained so much and they have lost so much from the 70-10 point differential the last 2 years.

Because it is not them being that much better, don't get me wrong they are better than us the past 2 years but, it was us making huge mistakes that caused the gap to look bigger, plus the player they lost were stars the past 2 years....
