Only Hillside Left for Iowa Game
I have hillside season tickets but was hoping to purchase a reserved seat for this game and sell my hillside ticket. Looks like that won't be happening unless I can find some for a decent price

Re: Only Hillside Left for Iowa Game
So if you're an NCC member who requested 2 extra hillside tickets, are you going to get be guaranteed yours?

This shouldn't surprise anybody...

Re: Only Hillside Left for Iowa Game
I don't know why, for one game only, pollard doesn't open the hillside floodgates and put isu as the top crowd in a stadium in the state of iowa's history. I mean, our max capacity is mostly theoretical where iowa's is hard. We could drop the rice of hillsides and see if we could get 80,000. It would be a nice thorn for Iowa fans.

There are probably some fire safety regulations that have to be adhered to. I don't know, I'm just speculating.

I wonder at what point people would quit buying tickets? Once you get over 50,000 anyone extra can't see a damn thing.

IS there a limit on hillside tickets? I thought I heard we will sell as many hillside as there is demand...

Re: Only Hillside Left for Iowa Game
I'd like to see where the limit is, if it exists at all. The place is packed at 50,000. At 55,000, you have people standing on the back of the slope. At 60,000 I'd think you'd see people closer to the fence that runs around JTS than you would the crest of the hill.

Re: Only Hillside Left for Iowa Game
i got 2 tix in section 19, row 20.
thing is, the tickets are not side-by-side, but one in front of the other. interesting. so they are together - maybe we can get someone to let us swap seats. If not, no biggie.

Yeah, I believe the previous times that they have reached 55K there have been extra temporary seats added. To get to 55 with just filling the hillsides would be tough.
I'm hoping this years Iowa game will get up to 55K and they all get to see us hand it to the Hawks in 2005 fashion.

Have you ever visited Jack Trice when we've had more than 50K? There is no room.
I assume you're being sarcastic.

Re: Only Hillside Left for Iowa Game
I still 'LOL' at the thought of buying a ticket to stand on the hillside. The south endzone can't come soon enough - talk about bush league. And yes, before you rip me I've got plenty of fond memories of playing smear the queer on the hillside as a kid.
*Edit. I also remember a game against KU in the early 90's where it was raining so hard that you could absolutely fly down the hills head first in your poncho.
