Then what was the purpose of this thread? Because SI didn't match the OP's personal goals?
Wow. You completely missed the point. You can not have a personal goal for the Hawkeye football team. The players can have a goal. The coach can have a goal. A fan can have an expectation, but in order to have a personal goal, you have to actually have some influence on the team reaching the goal. The typical Hawkeye fan seems to believe that when their team wins it somehow reflects positively on themselves as if they have personally accomplished something. I've found that Cyclone fans (and most fans with perspective) get excited when their team wins, but understand that it in no way is a reflection on who they are as a person, or what they have accomplished in their life. Unfortunately I haven't found the same is true of a Hawkeye fans. If U of I wins a nat'l championship, you personally have accomplished nothing.

What a bunch of wienies you so-called ISU fans can be. Do you take pride in your lame-*** low expectations? Do you think our guys are going to just crap their pants and give up just because you don't have the marbles to confront difficulty? Have some courage you pansy phu kkrs! I'm not saying it'll be easy, but I predict that we will achieve bowl eligibility and then some. Our sixth win will come after beating Missouri. Love it or leave it.
