Agree, on the internet you cannot get a sense of tone at all. In order to know exactly what he was saying you have to know several factors. That and a "tweet" (god I hate saying that) is like what? 250 letters long?

I would hardly be proud of properly defining a slang term. He could be correct for all you know since words, and slang terms, can have changes in their common usage over time.

Nice - used to mean someone that was ignorant
Punk - used to mean prostitute
Tell - used to mean "to count"
