and this situation isn't even like harrison barnes' decision. Ferentz is a great coach and iowa is relevant in football. greg mcdermot and isu basketball was not.

By your reasoning, Iowa and Iowa State shouldn't be allowed to recruit kids from other states. That is what is dumb. Do you think before you post?

That is worth a facepalm. I guess Iowa State shouldn't recruit any other state besides Iowa, because **** them from stealing other states kids right? Right?

Yea if Iowa state could take recruits from the gators, and I was a gator fan, I would be upset.

I'd put my money on Notre Dame. They've been on him earlier than anyone else - he attended a camp there after after 10th grade. Notre Dame is revered at Dowling.

According to the register, Iowa state is out of the picture.

Re: only listed as "medium" with darboh now
Where did he say he didn't want Iowa State to recruit from Florida, Texas, etc.? All he said is that if a stud Iowa kid doesn't come to Iowa State, he'd like him to go to Univ of Iowa, which I agree. We've had a lot of great talent come out of this state in different sports only to leave and help another state/school's tradition.
However, this guy just haphazardly landed in Iowa. I heard he isn't a die hard hawk fan and obviously isn't a die hard cyclone fan either. I don't think his "home" state is going to have too much pull in his college decision.
