McCann was so monitone that he about caused me to fall asleep and crash my car driving home yesterday. They need to make him chug 3 red bulls before putting him on the air next time.

McCann is pretty dull. Or at least, has a very dull, and kind of nerdy, voice. I always felt like Kyle was maligned too much at Iowa so I hope he does well.

McCann said he tries to get back to IC as often as he can - which tells me he can only draw from his 10+ years old experience and didn't really have any inside info on the Hawks. AA on the other hand is still very close to the Cyclone program and can give real insight into how things are done and what is currently going on.

And yes the Brinson guy is not good.

+1. And he says both approximately 32 times per show. EVERY show.

I think he will be fine once he settles into what's really important in this market (college sports) but right now, there's too much "schtick" for me.

If the chiefs cut Stanzi they would only have 2 qbs on there roster... He is not getting cut..

Also I thought both Qbs did fine.. McCann is a Lawyer... Lawyers dont get worked up over much... usually pretty laid back... I dont have any complaints about him...(on this radio show)

I agree. While he doent bother me that much, I'm willing to give him a break. He has started in the summer, when nothing has gone on, and his partner leaves to go to lost wages every other week. He's coming in cold, and has never experienced the ISU and Iowa football season and what that is all about. He needs to cut the tennis and soccer talk immediately.

I know it seems weird that he goes to the refreshment stands every night to watch sports, but it seems he's trying to acclimate to the locals as fast as possible, and that's probably the fastest way to do it. By end of fall, I'm betting he's mote tolerable.

Unlike that last guy, he doesn't make me want to attack and smash my radio with my fists until they bleed.

I haven't listened to M & B or TNT because there hasn't been anything that I wanted to hear a local angle about that Murph & Andy couldn't provide. Starting next week though I'll listen to all of them on Mondays to hear the game breakdowns.

This football season will decide if either of those two shows will last long.

I found "Lost Wages" to be clever -- made me wish I thought of it. Sadly, it's only clever the first time you hear it. Not the 4th time in 1 day.

Sorry but McCann was horrible. No personality or enthusiasm in his voice what so ever. He was dull as hell. I felt like he was wearing a "Vote for Pedro" shirt on. Seriously bring some passion with it. I would rather have them bring Gary Howe back in his place. He is waaaaaaaaaay better on the radio and could probably offer more insight. They should change it to the players view.

I think he will get better, you could tell he was nervous and the studio can be pretty overwhelming your first time in there... It's all about reps and I think the segment will be very good as long as both guys don't hold back.

So they mentioned a dude from Iowa State that hit the goal post as they came out for the entrance and said the video was a "must see". Anyone have that?
