I remember that year the Kstate game was on TV, it was a night game on ESPN (maybe thursday) and James couldn't play due to injury. I remember them doing an interview and showing a highlight reel or something.

That was the game that Donnie Smith (the punter and backup QB) played in much of the game at QB, scored a TD, and did an impression of a sprinkler in celebration. Good times. We lost the game, of course.

I used to love watching him run back punts and kicks. He was a very exciting player to watch.

Looking back at it he was about the only exciting thing to watch during some of those years however.
