Predictions and excuses are like ***holes...everyone has one but they all stink.

Excessive intake of alcohol, we all know, kills brain cells, but naturally it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers. -
Re: Throwing up in my mouth right now...
Not saying I disagree, but a lot of things will be different next week....
Hicks will be back
Darks will be back
CJ should be back (unless he has to miss a game)
Laing will be back
Rump will be back (unless he is really injured)
Neal wont have to play DT!!!
Steele has his first game under his belt
KO ankle should be better
Benton and Shontrelle should be healthy
(Just trying to easy my mind)
This is the least "scary" Iowa team in a while. And UNI was a pretty good team!

Knott doesn't look good.
KO is dealing with an ankle, which means he will probably deal with it for the rest of the year.
Rump doesn't look good either.
Farniok was posterized several times.
I do think we will get better, but unfortunately, I learned we have further to go.

[QUOTE=ISUcy08;2371825 And UNI was a pretty good team![/QUOTE]
Everybody said that in 2003. Seriously, they did, I remember that season very well.
Actually, whenever we have a close call against anybody, the team that gave us the close call ends up being a shoe-in for a national championship or something. Anyone remember our MBB loss to Northwestern in 2009? Northwestern was supposed to be a lock for the NCAA Tourny after that. Of course, they end up losing in the first round of the NIT.

I do think we will get better, but unfortunately, I learned we have further to go. Unless he absolutely shredded his ligaments, I highly doubt that. I did a third degree sprain on my right ankle (torn ligaments) my senior year of high school football. I missed less than a month. KO wouldn't have been playing, much less walking around, this evening if he had a 3rd degree sprain. He may not be 100% next week, but this isn't something he'll be fighting all year.

Re: Throwing up in my mouth right now...
EFFIN LAME! I hope it's close!?!?!?!?!?!!??!? F that. I don't give a shat about close because history doesn't either. We have a hard game next week.... we have a hard game every week! Who cares. Iowa blocked two field goals in a row two years ago against UNI to win..........how did that year turn out for them! Quit being such defeatest p*ssy's! No wonder Sqawk fans don't respect us!

1. CJ should only have to miss a half if any at all.
2. Knott doesn't look good? He had 15 tackles, in my books thats a great game!
3. KO will be fine
4. Rump had surgery 10 days ago and the staff didn't even expect him to play, so the fact that he did is a good sign. Neal played hard but is way overmatched at tackle.
5. Farniok will be fine once he has Hicks back along side of him.

I do think we will get better, but unfortunately, I learned we have further to go. No, he doesn't. But he still had a lot of tackles. This isn't something that will just go away. He is going to have to deal with it all season. Everytime he makes a tackle it will re-injure. I was talking to someone, during the fair I think, who is at practice, that Jake re-injured it then, and it's just something he will have to tolerate.

5. Farniok will be fine once he has Hicks back along side of him. But if you watched him after the tackle he was slow to get up and and his arm was hanging. You could tell it was killing him.
