Right, but there still would be people calling for him to be pulled. I was sort of surprised that there weren't bench Jantz threads last night during the game. Had that been Tiller, CF would have exploded. That's my only point. I am not saying Tiller is better because he's not, but I am going to be real with Jantz's performance last night. If he does that next week or in any other week save maybe one or two, we are going to get slaughtered. Good performance all things considered, but it's not good enough. I think it is also fair to say that Tiller didn't put himself in a position to have to throw a bunch late in games to rack up any sort of statistical merit.
Yeah, the idiot fringe would have been upset. No doubt.
But if Tiller had turned in last night's performance, I personally would have saw it as a major sign of improvement. Especially the intangibles.

Arnaud, Tiller, and now Jantz have all seen a crap ton of dropped balls. None of these guys are all star QBs, but they have dealt with far too many dropped balls.
I agree. That and offensive line at times. Since I follow Michigan I was reading something last year and they were talking about dropped balls from last year. The writer of the blog thought they dropped far too many. I don't remember exact numbers but I think they dropped about half of what we dropped. That's not good. Hopefully Darks can help us out there a little. Either that or I have a feeling Bundrage and Daniels will start seeing a lot of time. Money can't do what he did. That's unacceptable as a guy that is supposed to be our best option. I hope to, once games are on TV, be able to grade these things out and get a better handle on this situation, but it hasn't been good for 3 years now.
