Re: Voices from the Stands - UNI ed.
Walked behind a group of drunk UNI kids talking **** to a group of drunk ISU guys after the game. Neither side was saying much of anything profound, but I thought it was funny that the ringleader of the UNI group was wearing a plain purple shirt and a Lakers hat.

Re: Voices from the Stands - UNI ed.
It really isn't the 400-500 actual UNI fans that exist that are the problem. Many of them understand that we are in the same struggle for existence in the state of Iowa.
It is the complete and total ********* hawk fans that didn't want to live in a "big" city like ic, or they wanted to major in something specific that UNI offers, that makes them pretty much un****ingbearable.
I used to really get mad when I would see Iowa State fans act toward UNI the same exact way that we hate the hawk fans for. But I will tell you, after experiencing these dick head iowa panther fans, I gained a real dislike for these pieces of ****. Read panthernation, there are some really good UNI people there, even Mudra. He may be a bit extreme, but at least he is passionately loyal to UNI. I can respect that at least.
It's the pieces of **** like that twincities guy, and hawkeyenewsbreakerbred, and 9year (I have no idea how any good plan could take 9 years)and the rest of the iowa first morons, that really damage the genetics of their "fanbase."
They might even be worse than the blind porch sitting banjo players that come on here to defend the hawks. They do the same **** under the guise of "rooting" for UNI.
I have met some really good UNI people. They hate these "people" just as much as some of us do.

Re: Voices from the Stands - UNI ed.
I was in the student section, and after UNI's false start near the end of the 4th qtr someone went HS volleyball with the cheers. "You can't do that!" sprung forth from section N upper deck. I thought it was great.

Re: Voices from the Stands - UNI ed.
When the PA announcer said "Party of (enter ethnic name here) come to gate one for an emergency". Someone yelled up in section B, "it's a trick, don't go, it's INS"
That rug really tied the room together, did it not dude?

I didn't chant that, I just stood there a little embarrassed because it felt like I was in High school again. Where's that obvious freshman thread again? Lol I'd like to add chanting "you can't do that" at a football or basketball game.

Re: Voices from the Stands - UNI ed.
A uni fan who was sitting behind me kept saying that the UNI dome was nicer than Jack trice stadium because we didnt have a dome.
that thing holds like 7 thousand people and there video board is a projection screen.
he also couldnt figure out why Iowa state doesnt play in the UNI dome. he obviously does not understand college football.
